Utilizing HPS
(high-performance steel), the $20.1 million Star City
Bridge eased Morgantown-area congestion by upgrading the
existing two-lane Monongahela River bridge on US 19 to five
lanes. The continuous haunched I-girder’s four spans are 216,
412, 216 and 160 feet in length.
