Dear Law Enforcement Officials:

                The West Virginia Legislature during the 2006 Legislative Session reaffirmed the Racial Profiling Data Collection Act. Approving Legislative Rule 149 CSR 5 as referenced in West Virginia Code 64-9-7 (c).  Also see 17G-1-2

                The Division of Motor Vehicles is charged by the Legislation to facilitate and implement the collection of Motor Vehicle Stop Forms (MVSF). The Governor’s Highway Safety Program will  distribute the forms to Law Enforcement Agencies  as soon as they are available after January 1, 2007. Each Law Enforcement Agency in the state will ship, mail or deliver the proper completed forms to the designated address by the 15th of the following month (January by February 15, 2007.)
