I-70 Washington Avenue Bridge	Washington Avenue Bridge - This project is located on I-70 at Exit 2-B (Washington Avenue) in Wheeling, West Virginia. The work consists of grading, drainage, paving, signing, pavement markings, traffic signals, roadway lighting, and bridge widening. Traffic will be restricted and detoured during the various phases of this work. The exits and entrances from and to I-70 will remain open. The contractor is currently dismantling the old bridge structure in order to begin replacement of it. Motorists are advised to be alert and follow the designated traffic patterns. The contract was awarded to Ohio-West Virginia Excavating of Powhatan Point, Ohio at a cost of $5,794,757.26. The planned completion date is September 15, 2009. The project is currently 80% complete. I-70	Cabela Drive to Dallas Pike Cable Guardrail - This project is located on Interstate 70 between Milepost 9.70 and Milepost 12.69. The work consists of placing new cable guardrail in the existing median area. Traffic will be limited to one lane restrictions both eastbound and westbound at various times. The contract was awarded to The Cast & Baker Corporation of Canonsburg, Pa at a cost of $814,338.68. The contractor is currently placing borrow excavation in the median area. The work consists of removing the existing bridge, grading, drainage, paving, and erecting a new bridge structure. Traffic will be detoured around the bridge replacement. Expect no delays. The contractor is currently drilling and placing soldier piles. The project is 67% complete.
