GRANT FUNDING

Schools across West Virginia  are excited about the Safe Routes to School grant program because it: 

  •  Substantially improves the ability of children to walk or bicycle to school safely

  •  Helps children arrive alert, refreshed, and ready to do well in school

  •  Fights childhood obesity and promotes healthy lifestyles

  •  Reduces air pollution and traffic congestion near schools
