Requirements
Business
Qualifications
To qualify for the Logo Sign Program, businesses must fulfill
certain requirements. These are:
Fuel
- This service shall be
available at least 16 continuous hours a day, seven days a week.
- The normal services
offered by a fuel station, such as fuel, oil, water, tire repair
and public telephones shall be available.
- If a fuel station that
does not offer tire repair wishes to qualify, it must agree to
have information available as to where a motorist may obtain
tire repair.
- The establishment shall
provide restrooms that are adequate and well maintained and
separated by sex. If diesel or alternative fuels are available,
the Logo may incorporate up to two additional words within the
sign provided by the business, but no designation will be
provided otherwise under this program.
Food
- This service shall be in
continuous operation with seating for 12 or more people and
serve three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner, with
breakfast starting between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM) seven days a
week.
- The establishment shall
provide adequate and well-maintained restrooms, separated by
sex. The establishment is expected to provide good maintenance
and cleanliness in conformance with West Virginia State Board of
Health requirements.
- Public telephone service
shall be available on the premises.
- If breakfast is not part
of the standard menu, the establishment shall submit a breakfast
menu with its application and the menu shall also be
appropriately displayed or posted within the establishment.
- If, for any reason, the
establishment discontinues serving breakfast, the WVDOH shall
remove the Logo signs after notification and a 30-day
noncompliance period.
Lodging
- There shall be adequate
sleeping accommodations with at least 12 rooms.
- The facility shall be
clean and well-maintained in accordance with applicable local
and state laws and ordinances.
- Public telephone service
shall be available on the premises.
Camping
- There shall be adequate
parking accommodations with a minimum of 12 campsites.
- The campground shall
contain sanitary facilities and a water supply in accordance
with state and county health departments.
- Public telephone service
shall be available on the premises.
