Traffic
Division
The Traffic Division is
involved in many areas of the public interest.
They include:
- Establishing speed zones
on state-maintained streets and highways
- Identification,
evaluation and justification of safety improvements at
railroad-highway crossings
- Regulating parking on
State highways
- Erecting signs giving
the names of roads and bridges
- Overseeing the
installation of school zone and other warning flashers
- Assigning numbers and
specifying destinations at interstate exits
- Overseeing the
interchange logo signing program for businesses
- Installing motorist
service signs on rural expressways
- Establishing procedures
for constructing driveways on State highways
- Accident reporting,
recordkeeping and data analysis
