Materials, Controls, Soil and Testing

Welcome to the Materials Control, Soils and Testing Divisions Web Page. We are a section of the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways. Our purpose is the testing and management of materials used for highway construction in West Virginia.

We are frequently involved in various research projects concerning new and innovative materials and methods of analysis. If you’re interested in any of the work currently under way or have any questions for us, please send us your request.
